Within a circle, citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Muqtadi bi-amr Allah (AH 467-487 / AD 1075-1094), ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū / al-Muqtadī bi-amr Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. al-Muqtadi bi-amr Allah’ in Arabic); mint and date formula in the inner margin, of which only the mint name is legible; the outer margin almost entirely off flan. Rev. Within a circle, ‘Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / al-sulṭān al-muʿaẓẓam / shāhānshāh al-aʿẓam / Muʿizz al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn / [Malikshāh]’ (‘Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. The Great Sultan, the Supreme King of Kings, Muʿizz al-Dunya wa al-Din Malikshah’ in Arabic); the marginal legend mostly off flan. Album 1675. Rare.
